Software used: Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop
Navigraphy was a UI design project aimed at helping students orient themselves within the art building on my university campus. The space itself is a maze of studios, and classrooms, so I wanted the interface to feel intuitive. I leaned into a paper cut-out aesthetic, using layered shapes and tactile textures to evoke the feeling of handmade wayfinding. The black and white color palette keeps things clean and legible, while also nodding to sketchbooks, photocopies, and the analog tools that fill the Bardo Arts Center space.
The project was as about usability. I focused on clarity and flow, designing navigation elements that felt playful but purposeful. Each screen was built to guide users without overwhelming them, using contrast and composition to highlight the destinations. The final result is a UI that feels like it belongs in an art building—functional, a little quirky, and grounded in the materials and mindset of the students who use it.
