Ed the ghoul

Software used: Zbrush, Adobe Indesign

Ed the Ghoul was born out of a challenge to push my skills in full-body sculpting and refine my artistic approach. His design draws inspiration from the ghoul NPCs found in Blizzard Entertainment’s game Diablo 4, incorporating elements of their form while adding my own creative touch.

His coloration is a deliberate mishmash of hues pulled from various aspects of the game itself. From the metals of armor to the flora and fauna scattered throughout the world, each shade contributes to his unsettling aesthetic.

This project sparked a new wave of ambition, encouraging me to take on more challenging sculpts and revisit older works, such as my Colorful God project. My love for creatures and horror shines through in Ed’s grotesque form, embracing the gory over the glittery, the unsettling. He stands as both an experiment and a testament to my ever-evolving approach to sculpting. One that plays in the eerie, the strange, and the monstrous.
